For Kaitlynn's 1 month birthday, we made cupcakes to celebrate. I love that her onesie matches the inside of her "party rainbow chip" cupcakes. :)
Funny story that goes with this picture: I had told Jordan I wanted to take a picture with Kaitlynn in front of a cupcake, for memorabilia sake.. (As you can see, that's exactly what we did). I put the cupcake on the table and asked Jordan to hold her in front of it while I snapped the shot.. But because she still had quite the bobble head and couldn't hold up her neck, her head tilted forward and her forehead landed right on top of the cupcake!! bahhaha..
..She probably didn't find it as amusing as we did...
Regardless, Happy One Month of Life to you, my love :)

What a wonderful Sunday!!
After church we went for a drive..
to see beautiful sites...
and to lay in the daisies...
we had a picnic with the neighbors...
and took TOO many cute pictures to post just one..
We went home and played dress up with mommy's bling...
Spit up all over daddy, so changed into super cute pjs...
And found out that Kaitlynn could bobble her head around all by herself..
A very eventful day :)
We have such an awesome life.

Our amazing beginning with Kaitlynn!!
On June 27th, a day before Kaitlynn was due, I had gone to a doctor's appointment to see how my body was progressing, only to discover that there had been no change at all since the beginning of that month.
I went home that day feeling pretty discouraged, to say the least. =(
To cheer me up, Jordan thought it would be a nice idea to have a picnic at the park that day. My mom, who was visiting, ran to the store to get a few things for our outing, and returned with beautiful flowers, which I have labeled my "awaiting Kaitlynn flowers".
We had fun at our barbeque picnic that day..
Exactly a week later, on the 4th of July, I was in labor. I kept saying that I wanted to paint my toenails pink before the Little One was born, in tribute to her femininity =), and I think Kaitlynn was just waiting for me to do so because it was the 3rd of July that the toes were painted and the next day that she was in the world.
We stayed a few days in the hospital with The Little Cuteness to recover...
And then, for the first time as a new family, went home together.
We went on our first walk...
and took many many naps...
Auntie Kimberly and Uncle Jason came to visit...
And I took so many pictures of Kimberly and Jason with the baby that, judging by my saved pictures, you might think that Kimberly was the mother of Kaitlynn :)
...Wow. They make cute parents right?? :)
Kimberly also took some great pictures, which I thought I would leave for her to post, if she so desired, but two that I just couldn't resist were these:
I got some cute shots of Kaitlynn with both of her Grandmothers
And, of course, with her daddy
And, surprisingly enough, I actually managed to get a few shots with ME and the baby ;)
We are so in love with her and are incredibly happy to have her as a part of our family. :)

| Haha.. This one makes me laugh because of the random Swedish Fish. Mom told me, "I didn't want to eat it BEFORE my nap, I was saving it for when I woke up!" |
