Our amazing beginning with Kaitlynn!!

On June 27th, a day before Kaitlynn was due, I had gone to a doctor's appointment to see how my body was progressing, only to discover that there had been no change at all since the beginning of that month.
I went home that day feeling pretty discouraged, to say the least. =(
To cheer me up, Jordan thought it would be a nice idea to have a picnic at the park that day. My mom, who was visiting, ran to the store to get a few things for our outing, and returned with beautiful flowers, which I have labeled my "awaiting Kaitlynn flowers".

We had fun at our barbeque picnic that day..

Exactly a week later, on the 4th of July, I was in labor. I kept saying that I wanted to paint my toenails pink before the Little One was born, in tribute to her femininity =), and I think Kaitlynn was just waiting for me to do so because it was the 3rd of July that the toes were painted and the next day that she was in the world.

We stayed a few days in the hospital with The Little Cuteness to recover...

And then, for the first time as a new family, went home together.

So tiny!!!

My birthing team :)

We went on our first walk...

 and took many many naps...

Haha.. This one makes me laugh because of the random Swedish Fish.
Mom told me, "I didn't want to eat it BEFORE my nap, I was saving it for when I woke up!"

Auntie Kimberly and Uncle Jason came to visit...

And I took so many pictures of Kimberly and Jason with the baby that, judging by my saved pictures, you might think that Kimberly was the mother of Kaitlynn :)

...Wow. They make cute parents right?? :)

Kimberly also took some great pictures, which I thought I would leave for her to post, if she so desired, but two that I just couldn't resist were these:

I got some cute shots of Kaitlynn with both of her Grandmothers

And, of course, with her daddy

And, surprisingly enough, I actually managed to get a few shots with ME and the baby ;)

We are so in love with her and are incredibly happy to have her as a part of our family.  :)
